Hedi Grager published on her blog an exclusive interview with our CEO and Co-Founder, Dr. Anastasija Lesjak, that not only features her international work, but also includes conversation about career milestones, background, as well as personality. Since 13&9´s foundation in 2013, her transdisciplinary approach bridges the gap between science-informed concepts and development of versatile product series with added value, she calls “soul”, incorporating physical, cognitive, psychological, and social aspects. Together with her husband Martin Lesjak she enhances holistic solutions for each project, pointing the question of relevance for every development, establishing a consistent human-centered design philosophy. In one of her statements, Anastasija reflects: “I have never questioned or separated my interests, medicine and design, which is consistently reflected in my work, namely the implementation of innovative concepts related to people and space. The best examples of this are transdisciplinary projects, especially in the field of work, where science and creative disciplines collaborate to create environments that promote well-being and are sustainable.”
