Sound Design for Mohawk Group – Fractal Sounds

ScienceDesignLab (SDL), founded by Prof. Richard Taylor (University of Oregon / Fractals Research), Anastasija and Martin Lesjak, designed an immersive experience in an exclusively customized FRACTAL ROOM based on the fractal patterns developed for the sustainable flooring collection RELAXING FLOORS. It aims to trigger relaxation effects, intensified with fractal cut-out wall panels, floor patterns, and customized biophilic fractal sound by Severin Su in collaboration with 13&9.
The FRACTAL ROOM was conceived within the scope of Mohawk Group’s Waterways Project, a sustainable mobile roadshow experience designed to bring the latest industry-leading product innovation to architects and designers via a carbon-neutral truck traveled to various cities in the United States in four months and shared information about sustainable efforts towards revitalizing our rivers and waterways, following the principle “river health is human health.”
