Jingle Sound Design for architektur in progress – ARCHITEKTUR IN PROGRESS

architektur in progress, a platform for young, innovative and sustainable architecture in and around Austria, fosters professional exchange through live and digital events such as talks, videos and livestreams. For this purpose, they needed a custom sound design that delivered great value for their live and digital programing. The main idea for the sound design was to find a balance between classical and electronic instruments, creating a composition that starts quietly and dynamically ascends. The principle melodic theme was created from an electronic instrument that produces a flute-like sound. The supporting melody was scored with a grand piano using a „question-answer“ approach. The moderate tempo corresponds to the video editing, and single sound design elements support the movements of the writing. The remaining classical instruments, such as violins and wind instruments, serve to underscore the main theme and create a „theatrical‘‘ conclusion. Lightly pulsating percussion sounds create additional dynamics. Framing soundscapes were produced with ‚‘sample looping‘‘ and create an atmospheric background as well as a spatial effect.
