WELL-BEING IN HOSPITALITY
Our well-being approach continues in another project by INNOCAD architecture: the extension of the existing restaurant venue, "Das Eggenberg" in Graz, through the addition of a multifunctional winter garden that can be used year-round.
The main focus was to combine effective acoustic and lighting solutions using our latest developments: FRACTAL CODE large-scale acoustic wall and ceiling panels, as well as SPIRRA soft modular acoustic luminaires.
Large-scale acoustic wall and ceiling elements featuring fractal patterns, developed in collaboration with 13&9 Design and Fractals Research for XAL Group, are based on more than 25 years of neuroscience and psychology research. These acoustic panels are installed throughout the main space of the new extension, as well as in a series of private dining booths and niches located in the more secluded areas of the winter garden.
These biophilic design elements, combined with high acoustic performance, contribute to the calm and inviting atmosphere of the interior. Acting as a transitional zone between the restaurant and the redesigned outdoor garden, they create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
In addition, SPIRRA soft for Wever & Ducré further enhances acoustic comfort while providing a focused lighting environment for smaller groups and private dining experiences. Different brightness levels and colour temperatures allow the lighting to be adapted to a variety of functions and moods.
