SHEDDA WINS RED DOT DESIGN AWARD 2026
We are closing our season with amazing news by winning one of the most sought-after seals of quality for good design, the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026. SHEDDA, part of the SHEDDA lighting family, recently introduced to the market at Light + Building 2026 and designed by 13&9 Design for Wever & Ducré, has been awarded with this established and internationally recognized award.
SHEDDA explores light as a sculptural and atmospheric element – reduced in form, precise in execution, and engineered to create a soft, indirect illumination experience. Its upward-directed light distribution, high colour rendering (CRI ≥ 90), and precise colour consistency (MacAdam ≤ 3 SDCM) create a balanced and comfortable atmosphere, translating technical performance into spatial quality and emotional experience.
The award ceremony will take place at the Red Dot Gala on July 7, 2026, at the Aalto Theater in Essen, followed by the Designers' Night at the Red Dot Design Museum at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zollverein.
