MOHAWK GROUP’S SHOWROOM AT DESIGN DAYS 2025
Our latest collaboration with Mohawk Group and Prof. Richard Taylor from Fractals Research and the University of Oregon, June 2025 at Design Days in Fulton Market, unlocks the science behind fractal pattern design.
The Fractal Findings collection contains two fractal carpet tile designs: discoverD, which creates a soft linear fractal pattern derived from animal tracks in the wild, and exploreD, which maps out a dynamic fractal visual of fractured planes of sea ice that float in polar oceans.
Beyond, the showroom contains our collaboration in the LVT hard surface collection, Hot and Heavy II. ConnectD expands Mohawk Group’s collections of fractal-based patterns that support well-being with mid-range complexity (mid-D value). As a result, built environments are more conducive for people to live, work, play, learn, and innovate.
Mohawk Group also showcased the full lifecycle of their most sustainable innovations. Guests experienced firsthand how we’re transforming recycled materials into industry-leading solutions.
“We’re honored to celebrate our collaboration with such visionary partners – highlighting the fractal science behind design and seeing all this great response to our product development in the four collections Fractal Fluency, Moving Floors, Fractal Findings, and connectD. We are looking forward to many more years of inspiring design!” stated Jackie Dettmar, Vice President Marketing, Design and Product Development at Mohawk Group.
