FRACTAL CODE – LARGE SCALE ACOUSTIC WALL PANEL FOR XAL GROUP
The innovative acoustic large-scale wall panel with fractal patterns represents a breakthrough in biophilic design, which is also featured in the new xilence 25 catalogue of our European long-term lighting collaborator, XAL Group. The fractal patterns are based on research by Prof. Dr. Richard Taylor (University of Oregon & Fractals Research, USA) and 13&9 Design, uniquely merging design and science. Studies show that fractal patterns reduce stress by up to 60 percent, enhance cognitive performance, and improve focus. Three different panel segments, installable next to each other from floor to ceiling, enable large-scale wall surfaces to create as little pattern repetition as possible and offer rich visual fractal complexity. As large-format wall panels with perforated fractal patterns, they significantly improve room acoustics and allow on-site cutting depending on the room height, which allows for more customization and allow on-site cutting to fit varying room heights, offering enhanced customization.
