CALM COLLECTION AT GEORGIA TECH

In collaboration with Dr. Richard Taylor, the head of the Physics Department at the University of Oregon and Fractals Research, we have developed innovative new products such as the Calm acoustic ceiling and wall tiles. These designs, created for FACT Design, are based on the fractal fluency model, which asserts that human vision has become adept at processing the visual language of nature’s fractals. This fluency, in turn, can help to reduce stress in built environments.
The Calm collection with its ceiling and wall tiles was officially launched at NeoCon Shows 2022 in Chicago. The Calm-Clouds tiles have already been installed in the Atlanta headquarters of Georgia Tech University, where they are helping to reduce noise and promote the well-being of both employees and students.
