About the ROCK LIGHT

The impressive ROCK LIGHT is part of 13&9´s ROCK COLLECTION, a new contemporary lighting and furniture line launched in May 2014. This chic fixture is defined by its minimalistic design and the innovative use a unique material used for the shades-stone. The shades are made from razor-thin veneers of natural shale offered in three different stone surfaces. Since sculptural variations occur naturally in stone, every shade is individual and allows for subtle, sculptural lighting. The lighting components are provided by XAL Lighting Company. With this innovative design 13&9 is once again on the forefront developing revolutionary products, being the first to make natural stone maleble and create round shale shades for lighting. The ROCK LIGHT is an example of 13&9’s mission to think independently and adapt materials for uses beyond their intended purposes. The series includes floor, pendant and ceiling lamps, which can be used individually or showcased collectively in a dramatic grouping. The combination of the lamps enables playful settings through the variety of sizes and proportions and allows versatile applications, which represents the highest quality in Austrian craftsmanship.

About the ROCK TABLE

The ROCK TABLES are available in 3 table-top options and multiple sizes. Offerings include: wooden flat table tops, cross-milled tops, and cross milled tops with a multi-color shale veneer. The table’s frames which are milled from lacquered birch plywood that exposes a haptic natural wood grain. The end result is a product that is richly varied in appearance, surprisingly affordable, and offers a sensuous aesthetic with its interplay of wood and stone. Sleek, modular and attractive, the ROCK COLLECTION is well suited for residential or hospitality settings and would be ideal for lounges, lobbies, conference, meeting, dining or living rooms.
